As a tradition, Accutone will launch a series of new products in the HKEF, and with the show just around the corner, today we will take a look at what to expect from the headphone specialist in second half of 2014.
The HKEF is currently the biggest electronics fair in the world. As usual, this year, the Autumn Edition will be hosted in the Trade and Exhibition Center in Hong Kong, from October 13 to 16.
Since October 2013, Accutone launched a series of HD audio products including Gemini HD, Pisces HD and Pisces Band HD. The main focus was on improving the audio preferences for users, specifically expanding into the range of high-end Class C products.
Entering into 2014, the focus has shifted into wirless audio solution. Project Mercury, inspired by the Roman God of Message, Communication and travel, this newest bluetooth stereo headphone of the same name will be a key highlight in HKEF.
Although all the specifications have yet to be announced, we are hearing the new Mercury headphone will be based on Bluetooth v.4.0, with multiple-pairing and A2DP stereo output.
Bluetooth stereo headphones like this are becoming popular in the market. Various brands have launched similar products, some focuses on sport-use, while others focus on wireless convenience.
As for Mecury, Accutone's positioning remains the same across its entire product range. It's about music. Although limited by the audio sampling rate of Bluetooth standards, this product is one of the best wireless audio product in terms of acoustics.
The estimated launch date for Mercury is Q4 of 2014.
